Impressions + Screen Printing
Impressions is an experimental screen printing project inspired by the accumulated marks and patterns left on a printing table through repeated use. I photographed the surface of the studio table and transformed its overlapping traces of ink into new patterns for a series of screen printed covers.
The prints became covers for three sets of handmade booklets, bringing the process full circle. Patterns created through previous acts of printing became the source for new impressions.
