Burning Point + Altered Book
Featured in Speaking Volume, a book design and altered book exhibition at SCAD's Alexander Hall Gallery in Savannah, Georgia.
This altered book explores global warming and its impact on the natural environment, focusing on the escalating wildfire crisis. The cover introduces the experience with the message, “you are here for a short visit. don’t hurry, be sure to see global warming along the way.” As the book is opened, the pages are progressively burned, transforming the physical destruction of the book into a metaphor for the destruction of forests and the trees from which paper originates.
